It’s a loud, proud, fast-paced statement of Garden State love, namechecking a long list of famous New Jerseyans, from Sarah Vaughan and Jack Nicholson to Cory Booker. The video, below, adds to the theme by showinga series of state landmarks.
“NJHC” (which stands for “New Jersey hardcore”) is from the group’s 2014 album Givin’ Up onFree Jazz, and it isn’t their first attempt at a Jerseycentric song. They also once did aremake of Jonathan Richman’s “New England,” titled “New Jersey.”
