Kenny Chesney will return to MetLife Stadium in August 2016.
Kenny Chesney has scheduled 11 stadium shows for next summer, and one of his stops will be in New Jersey. The country star will perform at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Aug. 20, with tickets going on sale Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
This will be Chesney’s fifth appearance at the stadium since it opened in 2010. Last summer, his double bill with Jason Aldean drew 58,642 fans.
Chesney performed with Lambert, not Aldean, at Soldier Field in Chicago last summer. “Miranda was such an awesome addition in Chicago,” he said in a press release. “When I was thinking about what I wanted to do this year, how to keep the energy we had and give the fans something truly great musically, she just made sense. She’s a songwriter, a great singer and she loves music every bit as much as I do. In a stadium, those things matter.”
Chesney has only one other stadium show scheduled in the Northeast: June 25 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
