Christopher Lloyd in “Back to the Future.”
Christopher Lloyd, who played mad scientist Emmett “Doc” Brown in the three “Back to the Future” movies, and James Tolkan, who played stern school administrator Mr. Strickland, will introduce the movie at 30th anniversary screenings Oct. 15 and 16 at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (conducted by David Newman) will play Alan Silvestri’s score live — plus about 20 minutes of new music by Silverstri — at these shows, titled “Back to the Future in Concert.”
“Back to the Future in Concert” has already been presented in other states and overseas, but this will be its first time in New York.
Tickets are $33.88 to $123.88. VIP tickets will include a post-concert meet-and-greet with Silvestri and “Back to the Future” writer-producer Bob Gale, as well as an autographed page of sheet music from the conductor’s score. For information, visit filmconcertslive.com.
According to a press release, Lloyd “previously appeared at the famed Hollywood Bowl, receiving a huge ovation from the 16,000-member LA audience at the West Coast premiere of this concert production of the film.”
