AARON NEVILLE
Stanley Dural Jr. — better known as one of the country’s leading zydeco artists, Buckwheat Zydeo — will kick off Mayor Samson D. Steinman’s Free Summer Concert Series 2015 in Rahway, Aug. 6.
The shows will take place every Thursday in August, outdoors at the Union County Performing Arts Center at 1601 Irving St. Starting time is 7 p.m., and there is no admission charge. In the event of rain, the shows will move inside, to the UCPAC main stage.
Buckwheat Zydeco will be followed by Garland Jeffreys, on Aug. 13; a double bill of Soul Asylum and BoDeans, Aug. 20; and Aaron Neville of The Neville Brothers, in a duo format with pianist Michael Goods, Aug. 27.
