GABRIELLE STRAVELLI
The Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal, currently closed because of the pandemic, will launch, this week, its Anne & Sheldon Vogel Virtual Concert Series with a set of Willie Nelson songs, performed by jazz singer Gabrielle Stravelli.
The weekly, Thursday night series is co-produced by Remember Jones and Axelrod artistic director Andrew DePrisco, and all shows will start at 7 p.m. on the venue’s Facebook page, facebook.com/axelrodarts.
Here is the schedule:
July 16: “The Willie Nelson Songbook” with Gabrielle Stravelli, vocals; Art Hirahara, piano; Pat O’Leary, bass; Eric Halvorson, drums
July 23: “Remembering Amy: The Songs of Amy Winehouse,” hosted by Remember Jones and featuring Kristin Cochran, Molly Dorsman, Stevi Incremona, Taylor Tote and others
July 30: Constantine Maroulis
Aug. 6: Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo
Aug. 13: “To Be Free: The Sound of Nina Simone” with Amma Osei, JaQuita May, Fredi Walker-Browne and others.
Aug. 20: “The Music of Joey Contreras” with Contreras, Brian Russell Carey and Mia Gerachis.
Aug. 27: “Cocktail Hour” with Remember Jones
