Hackensack Performing Arts Center’s second concert season to begin with John Pizzarelli

The Hackensack Performing Arts Center, which opened in November 2017, will kick off its second annual “PAC the House” concert series with a show by a performer who is very well known to New Jersey jazz fans, singer-guitarist John Pizzarelli. It will take place Oct. 5 at 8 p.m.

Pizzarelli’s latest album, Sinatra & Jobim @ 50, includes songs recorded by Frank Sinatra and Brazilian bossa nova luminary Antônio Carlos Jobim in the ’60s, as well as other material, and features Jobim’s grandson, singer Daniel Jobim, on vocals.

Nov. 3: R&B singer-songwriter Elijah Bland, a Hackensack native.
Feb. 2: Amy Helm, the daughter of Levon Helm and a veteran Americana artist in her own right (formerly with the group Ollabelle. She released her second album, This Too Shall Light, Sept. 21.
March 9: All-female mariachi band Flor de Toloache.
April 6: Marc Cohn, best known for his 1991 hit, “Walking in Memphis.”
