Rockland-Bergen music fest update: The End of America added; schedule takes shape; advance discounts end soon

The Philadelphia-based folk-rock trio The End of America has been added to the lineup of the Rockland-Bergen Music Festival, replacing veteran jazz pianist Bob Dorough, who will not be able to make it.

The festival, which is in its third year, will take place in German Masonic Park in Tappan, N.Y. (near the Bergen County border), June 25-26, and feature groups such as Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Jorma Kaukonen, The Willie Nile Band, New Riders of the Purple Sage and Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers. Festival producer Joe D’Urso will perform both solo, and with his band Stone Caravan.

Also, the stage lineups have been set, as follows:

JUNE 25

Glow-Seeger Stage: Southside Johnny & Asbury Jukes; Willie Nile Band; Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan; Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers; Glint; Greg Trooper.

Mr. Lou/Stefan’s Turning Point Stage: Joe Delia & The Thieves; Loretta Hagen; Jesse Terry; Bobby DiBlasio; Joe Simio & The Compromsed.

JUNE 26:

Glow-Seeger Stage: Jorma Kaukonen; New Riders of The Purple Sage; Professor Louie & The Crowmatix; Gary Douglas Band; Dead Mile Dance; McMule; Joe D’Urso.

Mr. Lou/Stefan’s Turning Point Stage: The End of America; Tim O’Donohue & TMU Band; Tyrone Shoelaces; Compton Maddux & The Dirt Simple Band; Chihoe Hahn.

Discounted advance tickets, which are $50 per day or $89 for both, are available through midnight May 29. Visit rocklandmusicfestival.com.

Also, Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan and Dawg Whistle (featuring original E Street Band drummer Vini Lopez, and Paul Whistler) will perform at the nearby Turning Point in Piermont, N.Y., June 24, to kick off the festival.
