ALI STROKER

Ali Stroker, the Tony Award-winning Ridgewood native and Paper Hill Playhouse alumna, will perform at the Enlow Recital Hall at Kean University in Hillside, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. There will be no live audience, but the concert — titled “An Evening With Ali Stroker” and featuring songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Stephen Sondheim, Carole King, Stephen Schwartz, Rodgers & Hammerstein and others — will be live-streamed.

Tickets, priced at $20, go on sale Feb. 8 at midnight. For information, visit keanstage.com/ali-stroker.

Stroker, 33, was the first actress in a wheelchair to graduate from New York University’s Tisch Drama program, the first to appear on Broadway (in a revival of “Spring Awakening,” in 2015) and the first to win a Tony — in 2019, in the featured actress in a musical category for playing Ado Annie in a revival of “Oklahoma!”

“This award is for every kid who has a disability, a limitation or a challenge who has been waiting to see themselves represented in this arena,” she said in her Tony acceptance speech.

Stroker’s credits also include television’s “Glee,” “The Glee Project,” “Faking It” and “Blue Bloods.”
