BRIAN SETZER

Brian Setzer, who is suffering from a severe case of tinnitus (ringing in the ears), has been forced to cancel his 16th annual Christmas Rocks! Tour with his Brian Setzer Orchestra. Shows had been scheduled for the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, Nov. 19, and BergenPAC in Englewood, Nov. 20.

More than 20 other shows had been planned, too; refunds are available at points of purchase.

“It’s heartbreaking to disappoint my fans who have shared my Christmas seasons with me for over 15 years,” said Setzer in a press release. “I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused all of the amazing people who make my tour happen and to my unbelievably loyal and devoted fans. I hate to let you down and I hope you’ll understand.”

The tour had been scheduled to run from Nov. 15, in Minneapolis, to Dec. 21, in Los Angeles.

Ian Hunter also recently cancelled a tour, by the reunited Mott the Hoople, due to tinnitus.
