Cher performs in Newark on May 3.

Cher — whose Living Proof: The Farewell Tour stretched from 2002 to 2005, and was followed by another tour, Dressed to Kill, in 2014 — will be on the road on 2018, 2019 and possibly beyond with her Here We Go Again Tour, which will include a May 3 stop at the Prudential Center in Newark. Tickets, priced from $59.50 to $500, will go on sale Sept. 14 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales starting Sept. 13 at 10 a.m.; visit ticketmaster.com.

(Update: Nile Rodgers and Chic have been added as the opening act.)

The Here We Go Again Tour starts this month in Australia and New Zealand, and the U.S. leg is scheduled to last from January to May. Other area shows will include April 20 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and May 2 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Cher, 72, will release a new album, Dancing Queen, on Sept. 28. It includes covers of songs by ABBA, and follows Cher’s appearance in the recent movie “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again,” which also featured ABBA songs.

The new musical “The Cher Show,” exploring Cher’s life and music, begins previews at the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway on Nov. 1, and officially opens on Dec. 3. For information, visit thechershowbroadway.com.
