Ed Sheeran will perform at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Sept. 29-30 and Oct. 1. And if you’re a fan who won’t be able to make it to one of these shows, there’s some consolation: He’ll be back in the area next year, for a stadium tour that will stop at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, Sept. 22.

(Feb. 6 Update: A second show has been added on Sept. 21, with tickets going on sale Feb. 16 at 10 a.m.)

Other Northeast shows will include Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., Sept. 15; and Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Sept. 27.

Pre-sales will begin Oct. 16 at 10 a.m., with the general on-sale Oct. 20 at 10  a.m. The tour will use Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system, with registration beginning Sept. 22.

The tour is scheduled to run from Aug. 18 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, Calif., to Nov. 10 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Currently, only single dates are confirmed in each city, with lots of days off between them; this leads you to believe that there will be more shows added if the initial dates sell out.

Sheeran has had five Top 10 hits since 2014: “Don’t,” “Thinking Out Loud,” “Photograph,” “Castle on the Hill” and “Shape of You.”
