On Oct. 24 — three days before their induction into the New Jersey Hall of Fame — The Smithereens will be featured in the “An Evening With” series at Grammy Museum Experience Prudential Center in Newark.

Smithereens members Jim Babjak, Dennis Diken and Mike Mesaros will talk about their career and play a few songs with Marshall Crenshaw, one of the singer-guitarists who has been performing with the three since the death of Smithereens frontman Pat DiNizio in 2017. Smithereens memorabilia will also be added to a Grammy Museum Experience display.

For tickets, priced at $40, visit grammymuseumexp.org. The show will take place at 7:30 p.m.

Previous “An Evening With” shows have featured artists such as Philip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire; Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone of The Zombies; and Angélique Kidjo.

On Oct. 26, The Smithereens will present a “homecoming concert” at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park.
