Steven Van Zandt tweeted March 31 that the ailment that forced Mick Jagger to postpone an upcoming Rolling Stones tour is “temporary and insignificant.”
“I’ve been told by someone who knows that Mick Jagger’s ailment is thankfully temporary and insignificant,” he tweeted. “The Rolling Stones’ immortal endurance continues to inspire all of us!”
He continued: “Meanwhile, catch my interview with Keith on YouTube this week.”
That interview, with Jagger’s Rolling Stone bandmate and songwriting partner Keith Richards, will be available April 1 at noon, and was done to promote the 30th anniversary re-release of Richards Talk Is Cheap solo album. The YouTube page where the interview will stream is embedded below.
The Stones’ upcoming dates had included June 13 and 17 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. The new dates have not yet been announced.
Jagger, 75, said in the press release, March 30: “I hate letting our fans down and I’m hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour but am looking forward to getting back on stage as soon as I can.”
