Jukes, Weinberg, Brian Fallon to be among performers in new NJ concert series

The Concerts on the Green series begins at the Suneagles Gold Club in Eatontown in mid-May.

Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Max Weinberg’s Jukebox, Brian Fallon, Judy Collins and Citizen Cope will be among the performers in Concerts on the Green, an outdoor, socially distanced concert series that the Count Basie Center for the Arts will present at Suneagles Golf Club in Eatontown, beginning in mid-May.

Tickets for the first batch of shows go on sale April 2 at 10 a.m. through ticketmaster.com, with Count Basie Center members receiving first access. Information on memberships is at thebasie.org/membership.

All tickets include a pre-show dinner reservation in table-for-two, table-for-four and table-for-six configurations. COVID-19 protocols will be followed.

“We’re grateful to our partners at Suneagles Golf Club, who share with us the commitment that the arts are a vital ingredient in our collective return to normalcy,” said Basie Center president and CEO Adam Philipson, in a press release.

May 29-30 (Memorial Day Weekend): Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes
June 3-4: Brian Fallon (MARCH 31 Update: a third show has been added, June, as well)
June 5: Almost Queen, Queen tribute
June 10: Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers
June 12: Get the Led Out, Led Zeppelin tribute
June 16: Judy Collins
June 17: CSNSongs, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young tribute
July 2: Brian Kirk & the Jirks, “That ’70s Show”
July 16-17: Max Weinberg’s Jukebox
July 23-24: Jorma Kaukonen
July 25: Marc Cohn
July 30: Dar Williams
July 31: Steve Treviño (comedy)
Aug. 1: “Destination Motown,” starring the Soul Cruisers
Aug. 14: Chris Distefano (comedy)
Aug. 26: The Weight Band
