King Crimson books Halloween show at NJPAC

King Crimson, who wrap up a two-night stand at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank tonight, have booked an Oct. 31 concert at Prudential Hall at NJPAC in Newark.

The pioneering progressive-rock band is currently touring in a double quartet format featuring guitarist Robert Fripp (the band’s leader throughout its nearly 50-year history), singer-guitarist Jakko Jakszyk, bassist Tony Levin, saxophonist Mel Collins, drummers Pat Mastelotto and Gavin Harrison, and drummer-keyboardists Bill Rieflin and Jeremy Stacey.

Other Northeast shows will include the Merriam Theatre in Philadelphia, Nov. 2-3; Miller Symphony Hall in Allentown, Pa., Nov. 11; and the Beacon Theatre in New York, Nov. 17-18.
