The Bongos will perform at the Outpost in the Burbs in September.

After having presented no shows since early 2020, the Outpost in the Burbs has announced that it will resume on Sept. 19 of this year, with The Bongos (originally scheduled for March of 2020) outdoors, at the Van Vleck House and Gardens.

Also, three shows have been rescheduled for the Outpost’s main indoor venue, Montclair’s First Congregational Church: Robyn Hitchcock, on Oct. 8; Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright Roche, on March 18, 2022; and Shawn Colvin, performing her 1989 Steady On album in its entirety as well as other material, on April 28, 2022.

“We have been reviewing various state and industry safety guidelines including the ones from the Event Safety Alliance,” said Outpost Board of Trustees member Al Mercuro, in a press release. “Our ultimate goal is to provide a safe environment for our audience and artists when we reopen. Specific information is forthcoming.”

Tickets purchased for the original dates of these shows will be honored, and additional tickets are available via outpostintheburbs.org.
