RICHARD THOMPSON

Richard Thompson has announced that the second Facebook Livestream he is doing in response to the coronavirus crisis, from his home in Montclair, will take place April 19 at 4 p.m.

Donations can be made at paypal.me/richardthompsonlive, with some of the proceeds going to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

Singer Zara Phillips will join him on some numbers, as she did during his first Livestream, which took place on March 29. You can watch what happened then in the video below.

The March 29 Livestream included the following songs:

“I Misunderstood”
“If I Could Live My Life Again”
“Now Be Thankful”
“Walking the Long Miles Home”
“As Soon As You Hear the Bell”
“O Cinderella”
“Down Where the Drunkards Roll”
“Keep Your Distance”
“The Rattle Within”
“She Never Could Resist a Winding Road”
“Jet Plane in a Rocking Chair”
“I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight”

Perhaps Thompson will include a John Prine song, this time around. He wrote on Facebook that he was “truly devastated” by Prine’s April 7 death, and that he considers him “one of the greatest songwriters of my lifetime.”

I’ve also include a video, below, of Prine and Thompson performing Prine’s “Paradise” together.
