Southside Johnny, Garland Jeffreys and members of The Hooters have been added to the lineup Pat DiNizio’s 60th Birthday Bash at the Italian American Hall in Scotch Plains, Oct. 10 at 4 p.m., joining previously announced guests Marshall Crenshaw and The Grip Weeds. Scotch Plains resident DiNizio’s band, The Smithereens, will play as well, as will his side band The Scotch Plainsmen, which is devoted to Beatles covers.
Tickets, available in advance only (they won’t be sold at the door), are $99.99 and include dinner, drinks and an autographed copy of DiNizio’s CD, The Best of Pat DiNizio. Tickets can be purchased via PayPay using the email address, email@example.com; attendees are asked to bring their PayPal receipt and a photo ID.
According to a post on The Smithereens Facebook page: “This concert is a fundraiser to defray the cost of some of Pat’s medical expenses for his upcoming emergency surgery to restore the full use of Pat’s damaged right arm and hand which he needs to play guitar and write songs.”
There will after be an after-show party at Crossroads in Garwood, featuring an acoustic set by The Scotch Plainsmen.
