Bruce Springsteen is releasing a 1996 Asbury Park show in his archival series.

Bruce Springsteen’s The Ghost of Tom Joad Tour started in November 1995 with shows at the State Theatre in New Brunswick and the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, and also included a November 1996 benefit concert at the Saint Rose of Lima School in Freehold, which Springsteen had attended in his youth. Later in November 1996, there were three more Jersey shows, all at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park.

Springsteen is releasing the music from the first Paramount Theatre show (Nov. 24) as part of his monthly archival series. For information, visit live.brucespringsteen.net.

Springsteen performs solo on some numbers, though he has help on others from Danny Federici (on accordion), Patti Scialfa (on backing vocals) and Soozie Tyrell (on violin and backing vocals), as well as by Kevin Buell on offstage keyboards.
