As part of the annual series of free outdoor concerts at the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway, Sugar Ray — known for ’90s hits such as “Fly,” “Every Morning” and “Someday” — will perform on Aug. 24, with Miss Ohio opening.

Queen tribute band Almost Queen kicks off the series on Aug. 3, with the Annie Minogue Band opening. Riff — the vocal group that was featured in the 1989 movie “Lean on Me,” and that had hits with the songs “My Heart Is Failing Me,” “If You’re Serious” and “White Men Can’t Jump” — performs on Aug. 10. And the boy band tribute group Larger Than Life and 2016 “The Voice” contestant Mike Schiavo are featured on Aug. 17.

Concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m., and will move inside the theater in the event of inclement weather. Lawn chairs are recommended.
