Kings of Chaos will perform at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, Dec. 17.

Kings of Chaos, a rock supergroup that has performed intermittently since 2012 (original as the Rock ‘N’ Roll All-Stars) with a variety of different lineups, has booked a Dec. 17 show at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair. Tickets go on sale Oct. 28 at 10 a.m.

Who exactly is going to play, though? It’s kind of hard to say.

According to the event’s Facebook page, the show will feature Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Billy Duffy (The Cult), Chester Bennington (Linkin Park, Stone Temple Pilots), Matt Sorum (Guns N’ Roses), Robert DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots), Robin Zander (Cheap Trick) and Steve Stevens (Billy Idol’s band).

The event’s livenation.com page, though — the site where online tickets will be sold — only lists Gibbons, Bennington, Zander, Sorum and Franky Perez (Apocalyptica).

And the band’s own web page, kingsofchaosband.com, lists its current members as Gibbons, Stevens, Bennington, DeLeo, Duffy, Sorum and Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour).

The band plays covers, including songs by bands its members have been in.

There will also be a show at Irving Plaza in New York, on Dec. 21.

Musicians who have performed in either Kings of Chaos or the Rock ‘n’ Roll All Stars in the past — but are not expected to be in Montclair or New York — include Guns N’ Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan, Gilby Clarke, as well as Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, and Gene Simmons (Kiss), Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), Brian May (Queen) and Sammy Hagar.
