“Saturday Night Live” evoked the famous final scene of “The Sopranos” last night, opening with an outside shot of Holsten’s in Bloomfield— where that famous scene was set— and including elements such as Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” the parallel parking and the cut to black.

Actors included Alec Baldwin as President Trump, Kate McKinnon as Rudy Giuliani, Ben Stiller as Michael Cohen, Mikey Day as Donald Trump Jr., Alex Moffat as Eric Trump and Robert De Niro as Robert Mueller (basically filling the role of the man in the Members Only jacket).

Here is a video of the scene, which opened the show— the last in the series’ 43rd series.

It was one of the most star-studded “Saturday Night Live” episodes ever. Tina Fey hosted, and Nicki Minaj appeared as the musical guest (with Playboy Carti helping out). In addition to Baldwin, Still and De Niro in the opening skit, non-cast members who made cameos throughout the evening included Jerry Seinfeld, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Rock, Fred Armisen, Anne Hathaway, Donald Glover, Tracy Morgan, John Goodman, Lin-Manuel Miranda and cast members of the current “Broadway” production of the Fey-written “Mean Girls.”
