Cape May Stage will begin presenting plays again in late June.

Cape May Stage is planning to reopen and present live shows, starting in late June, at its Robert Shackleton Playhouse.

The three-show 2021 season will include:

June 30-Aug. 2: “Ann,” a one-woman play about Ann Richards, who was governor of Texas from 1991 to 1995. Written by Holland Taylor, directed by Marlena Lustik and featuring Kate McCauley Hathaway.

Sept. 8-Nov. 21: “Last of the Red Hot Lovers,” the Neil Simon comedy, directed by Roy Steinberg.

Dec. 8-30: “Adopt A Sailor: The Holiday Edition,” written by Charles Evered and directed by Chris Dolman.

According to a message on the theater’s web site, “In advance of government and union protocols, Cape May Stage has already installed a plexiglass barrier around the box office and has ordered masks, sanitizer dispensers, and created social distancing seating plans for the 2021 season. In addition to our Equity stage manager taking classes to be a certified Covid specialist, Cape May Stage intends to create another position dedicated to taking temperatures, keeping tracking information, and cleaning backstage as well as all of the seats before every performance just to ensure everyone’s safety.”

Tickets will go on sale in May. For information and updates, visit capemaystage.org.
