David Crosby will be one of the participants in the Asbury Park Music and Film Festival.

This year’s Asbury Park Music Festival, which announced some of its initial attractions about two weeks ago, has confirmed some extremely notable additions, including David Crosby, Cameron Crowe, Jakob Dylan, Cat Power and Danny Clinch.

Crosby and Crowe will take part in a discussion following the New Jersey premiere of the documentary, “David Crosby: Remember My Name” (which Crowe co-produced), April 27 at 7 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre.

Dylan, Cat Power, Jade (of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros) and others will perform songs by California-based ’60s groups such as The Byrds, The Beach Boys and The Mamas & the Papas following the New Jersey premiere of “Echo in the Canyon,” April 25 at 7 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre. Dylan executive produced the film, which explores the music of the Laurel Canyon music scene from 1965 to 1967.

Clinch’s Tangiers Blues Band, The Mercury Brothers and Sunshine Spazz will be among those performing blues, rock and more at “The Po Boy Jam” at the Stone Pony, April 27.

The Farrelly Brothers, Gary U.S. Bonds, Hot Water Music and Jake Miller are among the previously announced participants in the April 25-28 festival, which benefits music education and the youth of Asbury Park.
