Dates have been announced for the 2024 North to Shore Festival.

The lineup won’t be announced until March, but organizers of the North to Shore Festival — which debuted this year — have announced that it will return next year, with music, film, comedy and visual art offerings, and more, in Asbury Park, June 10-16; Atlantic City, June 17-23; and Newark, June 24-30.

As it did this year, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark will produce the festival — which was conceived by Gov. Phil Murphy and First Lady Tammy Murphy — in partnership with other venues in the three cities.

Performers this year included Santana, Alanis Morissette, Halsey, Jazmine Sullivan, Marisa Monte, Eric B. & Rakim, The B-52’s and many others. According to organizers, more than 250,000 people attended more than 300 events in more than 100 venues, generating $7.6 million in ticket sales. In addition to the arts offerings, many of which were free, there were panel discussions on subjects such as technology, climate change and healthcare.

“What makes the North to Shore so exciting is that — even if you only spend one day at the festival — there’s so much to hear, to see, to learn and to do,” said John Schreiber, President and CEO of NJPAC, in a press release. “It’s a perfect introduction to New Jersey’s incredible arts scene.”

As happened this year, grants of up to $5,000 will be given to some of those looking to produce events for next year’s festival. Also, grants will be offered “to artists interested in performing on the North to Shore Festival Community Stages, centrally-located performance venues in each city,” according to the press release.
