
G. Love will perform at The Stone Pony, Sept. 12.
The Sept. 13-14 Sea.Hear.Now festival in Asbury Park has announced a free “Kickoff on Cookman” concert, as well as late night shows on Sept. 12 and 13 at The Stone Pony and The Wonder Bar.
The kickoff concert will take place on Cookman Avenue in Downtown Asbury Park, between Bangs Avenue and Bond Street, from 4 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 12. Performers will include the band Bumpin Uglies, the duo Brick + Mortar, rapper Küf Knotz and The Lakehouse Music Academy Band.
The late night shows will feature G. Love & Special Sauce at The Stone Pony, Sept. 12 at 8:30 p.m.; Jarod Clemons, Blaise and echo plum at The Wonder Bar, Sept. 12 at 8:30 p.m.; “The Ocean Avenue Stomp” featuring Sea.Hear.Now co-founder Danny Clinch’s Tangiers Blues Band, The Ocean Avenue Stompers and others at The Stone Pony, Sept. 13 at 11:30 p.m.; and Landon McNamara at The Wonder Bar, Sept. 13 at 11:30 p.m.
“The Ocean Avenue Stomp” usually features guest appearances by some of the festival performers.

McNamara will also perform on one of the three Sea.Hear.Now stages, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m.
The festival itself, featuring co-headliners Blink-182 and Hozier and many other artists, is sold out. It has been held annually since 2018, though 2020 was skipped because of the pandemic.
