BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN

In keeping with the political theme of their current tour, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band performed The Clash’s 1979 anti-fascism anthem “Clampdown” (from their London Calling album) as the fourth song of their April 7 concert at The Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

Springsteen got a particularly big cheer for the line, “In these days of evil presidentes …,” dramatically delivering it a cappella, with the house lights turned off.

You can watch the performance, which featured Tom Morello on duet vocals and guitar, below.

According to the BruceBase website, Springsteen and the band previously performed the band only six times, all in 2014.
