Bruce Springsteen sang Bob Dylan’s “Chimes of Freedom” with Joan Baez and performed other songs such as Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Fortunate Son” and Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World” with others at the Tom Morello-organized Power to the People Festival at The Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland (about 40 miles from Washington, D.C.), Oct. 3. You can watch the video below.

It was an amazing day, overall, with other highlights including sets by Morello, Foo Fighters, Dave Matthews, Dropkick Murphys and Jack Black (doing Black Sabbath songs with a band including Morello’s son Roman and, on one song, Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler). Stephen Stills was a surprise guest, joining Morello and Nathaniel Rateliff for the classic protest song, “For What It’s Worth.”

According to the festival’s website, “A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales plus 100% of the net proceeds from VIP tickets will be donated to VoteRiders — a pro-democracy, pro-voter organization working to restore and strengthen democracy by eliminating confusing and restrictive ID-related barriers to the ballot box — and HeadCount who will also be on site to help fans register to vote and learn more about how to participate in upcoming elections.”

These are the songs that Springsteen performed:

“Streets of Minneapolis” (solo)
“Chimes of Freedom” (with Joan Baez)
“Clampdown” (with Tom Morello and Morello’s band)
“The Ghost of Tom Joad” (with Tom Morello and Morello’s band)
“Fortunate Son” (with Tom Morello, Nathaniel Rateliff, Dave Matthews and Morello’s band)
“Rockin’ in the Free World” (with Tom Morello, Dave Grohl, Dave Matthews and Morello’s band)
“This Land Is Your Land” (with Tom Morello, Joan Baez, Dave Matthews, Grandson, DMC, Morello’s band and many of the other show participants)
“Power to the People” (with everyone)

Here is the video. The final eight-song sequence with Springsteen begins about eight hours and 30 minutes in.
