Walt Whitman, who lived for some of his life in Camden, is widely regarded as one of the greatest poets the United Stateshas produced. Andmany musicians have put his words to music, including Moon Trent, a singer-songwriter from Merced, Calif., who included a rock version of Whitman’s “We Two Boys” on his 2008 EP, Love Bytes.
The full name of the poem, which is part of Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass” collection, is “We Two Boys Together Clinging,” and Moon Trent doesn’t change a word.
