The group Americana Women will perform in the Kean Stage series at Enlow Recital Hall at Kean University in Hillside, March 21 at 7:30 p.m., playing original songs as well as paying tribute to female folk and country artists such as Joan Baez, Dolly Parton, Patsy Montana, Lucinda Williams, Brandi Carlile and The Chicks.

Josh Joplin released his most recent album, last year’s GpYr (pronounced “gap year”), with his longtime band the Josh Joplin Group, which was formed in Atlanta in the ’90s and originally called the Josh Joplin Band. But he will perform solo at The Outpost in the Burbs at The First Congregational Church in Montclair, March 21 at 8 p.m., sharing a double bill with Outpost favorite Jeffrey Gaines.
