Comedian and actor Kevin Hart, whose recent tours have included stops at arenas such as the Prudential Center in Newark and Madison Square Garden in New York, will perform stand-up shows for a small fraction of his usual crowd size at the outdoor Concerts in the Garden series at the Blu Grotto at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, Sept. 3-4 at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale at noon Aug. 28.
(Aug. 31 Update: The shows have now been moves, and new shows have been added that will go on sale Sept. 1. There will now be seven shows, Sept. 6-8. For current information, visit thebasie.org/garden.).
Tickets will be sold in tables of two, four and six, and will include a dinner reservation. The tables will be six feet apart, and at least 12 feet from the stage. Temperatures will be taken at the door; those with too high a temperature will not be permitted to enter, and a refund will be given. Masks must be worn when entering the venue or using the restroom.
Other comedians coming to the same venue include Nikki Glaser, Aug. 28; Chris Distefano, Aug. 29; and Vic DiBitetto, Sept. 12. Musical bookings range from Jorma Kaukonen (Sept. 20-21) to the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra Septet featuring Wynton Marsalis (Oct. 4).
