Just days after the summer of 2019 officially ended, New Jersey’s first major concert of the summer of 2020 has been announced: Country-pop superstar Kenny Chesney’s Chillaxification 2020 Tour is coming to MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, Aug. 22 at 5 p.m.
Florida Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead will open, and tickets will go on sale Oct. 4 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales for American Express card members beginning Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. Visit ticketmaster.com.
“These stadium shows are the most fun thing I do,” Chesney said in a press release. “It’s been a year, so when I get out there, I wanna make sure that No Shoes Nation is being rocked, having fun and getting all the music they can out of the day. We always try to do something different, bring someone new — and for anyone who’s never seen Michael Franti and Spearhead, just wait!”
The tour is currently scheduled to begin at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, April 18; and end at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., Aug. 28.
Chesney will also perform at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, June 6.
More dates will be announced at some later point, according to a press release.
