The question of what the creators of SopranosCon will do for an encore has been answered.
On April 18 and 19, they will present a MobMovieCon convention, devoted not only to “The Sopranos” but to all other notable feature films and TV shows about the Mob, as well. Unlike SopranosCon, which took place Nov. 23-24 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, this one is scheduled for Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City. For information, visit mobmoviecon.com or the event’s Facebook page.
(March 11 Update: Due to the coronavirus threat, this convention has been postponed indefinitely)
According to the website, movies and TV shows to be featured along with “The Sopranos” include “The Godfather,” “Goodfellas,” “Scarface,” “A Bronx Tale,” “Donnie Brasco,” “The Departed,” “The Irishman,” “Heat” and “Mean Streets.” Actors confirmed to appear include Paul Sorvino (“Goodfellas,” “The Brooklyn Banker”), Dominic Chianese (“The Sopranos,” “The Godfather”), James Russo (“Donnie Brasco,” “Once Upon a Time in America”), Federico Castelluccio (“The Sopranos,” “The Brooklyn Banker”), Vincent Curatola (“The Sopranos”), Tony Darrow (“Goodfellas,” “The Sopranos”) and David Proval (“The Sopranos,” “Mean Streets”).
The convention will also include a Mob Movie Awards show.
