Jason Alexander will participate in this year’s Lighthouse International Film Festival.
This summer’s Lighthouse International Film Festival, taking place on Long Beach Island, will offer a five-day master class for actors with Jason Alexander. The festival will run from June 10 to June 14, though the master class will starts earlier, on June 7, and last through June 11.
According to the festival’s website, “Jason’s approach is deeply practical and actor-focused. His technique breaks performance down into clear, actionable choices — the kind you can actually use in rehearsal, on set or on stage.
“This masterclass is about understanding what decisions shape a performance and how those choices build into truthful, repeatable work you can rely on in any medium.”
The master class will conclude, on June 11, with a live showcase at The Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven, in which participants will perform monologues they honed with Alexander, during the master class, followed by a question-and-answer session that Alexander will participate in.
Alexander, who grew up in Maplewood and Livingston and was inducted into The New Jersey Hall of Fame in 2019, is best known for playing George Costanza on “Seinfeld,” though he has a long list of other TV and film credits, and is a Tony-winning Broadway actor, and a stage and screen director, as well.
