It will be a Jersey Shore reunion when Bruce Springsteen is joined by “special guests” Steven Van Zandt and Southside Johnny on the seventh installment of his SiriusXM satellite radio DJ show, “From My Home to Yours,” July 1 at 10 a.m. on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio channel (channel 20).
“This is gonna be unbelievable. I can’t wait for this,” said E Street Radio DJ Jim Rotolo when making the announcement on the air, today.
“Gonna be a blast!,” tweeted Van Zandt.
(June 29 Update: Rotolo said that the show will be titled “Fourth of July, Asbury Park,” and added that Springsteen, Van Zandt and Southside will be “talking about the Jersey Shore music scene, playing in Asbury Park in the ’70s, and all the great songwriting. It’s just an amazing, amazing show.”)
Rotolo also mentioned that SiriusXM is streaming for free through July 6. Visit siriusxm.com.

Springsteen said in a recent interview with The Atlantic, “I think from here on in, the American musical conversation is going to be a cacophony of rap and pop and Latin music and so on, and there’ll probably even be some room for an old guy and a little bit of rock music. On my radio show on SiriusXM, I try to include all those different voices. It’s the only way to tell the American story that I remain committed to doing.”
Though Springsteen is not officially on a schedule for these shows, and there won’t necessarily be any more after July 1, he has been doing them once every other week for more than two months.
The shows have lasted between 70 minutes and two hours each, and are being broadcast on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio channel (channel 20), with repeats and on-demand availability following the initial broadcast.
