Lineup announced for Strand Theater’s David Bowie tribute

It’s a sign of David Bowie’s popularity among New Jersey musicians that the Strand Theater in Lakewood was able to quickly put together a packed lineup for its Jan. 29 “David Bowie Salute.”

The show will include performances of Bowie material by about 30 acts, including Remember Jones, Joe Russo and Steve Leonard of Almost Queen, The Count Basie Theatre’s Rockit Live, The Sunday Blues, The Jo Wymer Band, Sal Boyd, Joe Harvard, Nik Greeley, Stu Coogan, Alex Biese and Friends, David Ross Lawn, Kristian Rex, Renee Maskin, Lindsey DeSena of The Shady Street Show Band, Dave and Brandon of Mad Feather Group, Allison McKenzie, Trevor McQueen, Kayla Dillon, Jette Hetherton, Airacuda, SOF (Sophia Khorosh), The Color Atlantic, Kiirstin Marilyn, EJ Dayback, Zac Silva, Mark Masefield, CJ Thouret and General Roshane.

There will also be video presentations, a screening of the D.A. Pennebaker-directed documentary/concert film, “Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars: The Motion Picture,” and a listener party for Bowie’s Blackstar album in the theater’s Gallery lounge.
