Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Jorma Kaukonen and New Riders of the Purple Sage will be among the acts performing at this year’s Rockland-Bergen Music Festival, which will take place June 25-26 at German Masonic Park in Tappan, N.Y., with a kickoff event June 24 at the Turning Point in Piermont, N.Y.
Southside Johnny and the Jukes will headline on June 25, with support from the Willie Nile Band, Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan, Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers and many more. Kaukonen and New Riders of the Purple Sage will perform on June 26, with Dead Mile Dance, McMule and others to be named later.
No other details are currently set, though the on-sale date will probably be in April, with pre-sale tickets available in mid-March. For updates, visit rocklandmusicfestival.com.
The festival, now in its third year, is organized by Joe D’Urso; its title is inspired by the fact that even though it takes place in Rockland Country, N.Y., it is very close to Bergen Country, N.J. Shawn Colvin, John Sebastian and David Johansen co-headlined last year’s fest.
