The Springsteen fan group Spring-Nuts has assembled a 34-minute video with birthday greetings for Bruce Springsteen, and posted it on its Facebook page today (Sept. 23), which is The Boss’ 71st birthday. You can watch it below.
Among those who contributed messages and/or music are E Street Band members (past or present) Steven Van Zandt, Nils Lofgren, Vini Lopez, David Sancious and Jake Clemons; Southside Johnny; Gary U.S. Bonds; Joe Grushecky; Willie Nile; Jesse Malin; Brian Fallon; Springsteen’s former manager Tinker West; original Stone Pony owner Jack Roig; Sarfraz Manzoor and Gurinder Chadha, co-writer and director/co-writer/co-producer, respectively, of the Springsteen-related 2019 film “Blinded by the Light”; and photographer and musician Danny Clinch.
Spring-Nuts asks those watching the video to make a donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth Country. You can do so here.
This video follows another one, posted two days ago, of Spring-Nuts members singing Springsteen’s “Land of Hope and Dreams.” I have embedded that below as well.
