The band Supermutt is raising money for Grace Community Services through its 12 Days of Covers project.

Supermutt’s “12 Days of Covers” is under way. In this fundraising project, the Jersey City-based band is sharing Christmas-related videos by other artists via its Facebook and Instagram pages for a dozen days, culminating on Christmas Day.

You can watch some of the early entries below. Videos also can be seen and by searching Facebook with the #12DaysofCoversNJ hashtag, and through websites such as Jersey Beat and Asbury Park Vibes.

The project is raising money for Grace Community Services, a Jersey City organization that provides food for those in need. The artists paid a small fee to participate, and those watching the videos are encouraged to make donations.

More than $4,000 has been raised so far.

“It’s good for artists who want to play for an audience, it’s good for people who want to hear Christmas music, and most of all, it’s great for Grace Community Services, who hopefully will be benefitting from this tremendously,” Supermutt member Michael Keating told NJ.com.
