More than 40 photographs of Nobel-Laureate-to-be Bob Dylan — all taken in 1964 or 1965 by Daniel Kramer — will be shown this fall at an exhibit titled “Bob Dylan: Photographs by Daniel Kramer” at Monmouth University in West Long Branch. Curated by the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live and sponsored by the university’s Center for the Arts, it will run from Oct. 20 to Dec. 20 in the university’s Pollak Gallery.

A reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 11 will include a Q&A session with Kramer (who took the photos while on tour with Dylan) and Grammy Museum executive director Bob Santelli, who attended the university back when it was Monmouth College. That same night, Dylan’s old friend Arlo Guthrie will be performing in the adjacent Pollak Theatre.

Kramer photographs were used on three Dylan album covers: Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited and the Biograph boxed set.

In 2014, Monmouth University became an official University Affiliate of the Grammy Museum.

The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. There is no admission charge. Visit monmouth.edu/arts.

Also taking place in October at the university’s Woods Theatre: A new series titled “Tuesday Night Record Club,” at which people will discuss a classic album, with guest moderators, will devote its 7:30 p.m. Oct. 25 edition to Dylan’s Blonde on Blonde. The discussion is free, though reservations are required. Visit monmouth.edu/record-club.
