I’m happy to announce that NJArts.net has become an official Ticketmaster affiliate.
What does this mean? Basically, that NJArts.net will make money from online Ticketmaster sales IF the person got to the Ticketmaster website through a link on NJArts.net.
No charge is added to the ticket price, and NJArts.net receives only a small percentage. (And, unfortunately, this doesn’t apply to shows that are still in the pre-sale phase, or tickets that are sold within the first 24 hours of the official on-sale). But NJArts.net has already made some money via this arrangement since it went into effect, several weeks ago, and hopefully this will continue to help the site’s bottom line in the months and years to come.
NJArts.net does not pay a fee to participate in this program, and was already providing the links, anyway. I tried to become an affiliate shortly after the site launched, four years ago, but was denied, because the site wasn’t big enough (in terms of page views). But now we are.
So, please look for the orange links.
• This is an example of a regular, non-Ticketmaster link:
Sept. 7: C.J. Chenier and the Red Hot Louisiana Band at Municipal Beach Park, Somers Point.
• And this is an example of a Ticketmaster link, for which NJArts.net will make money if tickets are bought through it:
Sept. 4: Fall Out Boy, Machine Gun Kelly, Every Time I Die at Prudential Center, Newark.
If you can’t find an orange link, or just want one without having to look on the site, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I will send you one (as long as the tickets are available through Ticketmaster).
Of course, Ticketmaster doesn’t sell tickets to all shows, and NJArts.net also lists free shows, so you will continue to see a lot of blue ticket links on the site. But you may have noticed the orange ones becoming more numerous in recent weeks. This will continue. (NJArts.net lists hundreds, maybe thousands of shows at any given time, so it’s impossible to switch them all over at once.).
To see all our listings, click on “Show Listings” on the home page, or go to njarts.net/calendars-2. The orange links will appear in story posts as well, of course.
