New Jersey rock icons Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi have released their first studio duet: the dark, introspective “Hollow Man,” from the upcoming Bon Jovi Forever (Legendary Edition) album.

“Till you love yourself, how can you love someone?” sings Springsteen, in one of the song’s key lines.

You can listen to the song below.

This album will feature all the songs from the Bon Jovi band’s 2024 Forever album with guest stars on each track, plus two more tracks. The guests will include Jelly Roll, Jason Isbell, Avril Lavigne and others, in addition to Springsteen.

The two additional songs are a new one, “Red, White & Jersey,” and a Spanish language version of “We Made It Look Easy.”

The album will come out on Oct. 24.

Here are the lyrics to “Hollow Man” and, below them, videos for both the new and original versions of the song, as well as the video for “Red, White & Jersey.”

Bon Jovi:
What do you sing when the song’s been sung?
Who do you fight when the war is won?
What do you write when the book is done?
What do you sing when the song’s been sung?

Springsteen:
How do you pray till you find your prayer?
How can you care so much you just don’t care?
How do you feel till the feelin’ comes?
Till you love yourself, how can you love someone?

Both:
Here I am, the hollow man
Telling stories ’bout the promise of a promised land
Feel like a cheap bouquet of flowers and a one-man band
With my heart in hand, the hollow man

Springsteen:
How does it work when the words don’t come?
It’s like pullin’ the trigger on an empty gun
You can’t make it rain, starin’ at the sun
So you work at your work till the work gets done

Both:
Here I am, the hollow man
Telling stories ’bout the promise of a promised land
Feel like a holy roller’s rosary on a one-night stand
With my heart in hand, the hollow man

I’m a blank page, clean slate
At night, I’ll give my soul away
When nothing’s left, I’ll give you a smile

Bon Jovi:
I got these chords that won’t wait
I’m much too vain to masturbate

Both:
No sacrificing substance for style

Bon Jovi:
Aw, anyway, I got you to smile

Bon Jovi:
What do you see that your eyes don’t see?
And what do you dream now that you’ve sold your dreams?

Springsteen:
What do you sing when the song’s been sung?
What do you sing when the song’s been sung?

Both:
Here I am, the hollow man
Selling stories ’bout the promise of a promised land
I feel like a cheap bouquet of flowers and a one-man band
I’m just a holy roller’s rosary on a one-night stand
With my heart in hand
I am the hollow man
