Terrie Carr’s “Carr Stereo Podcast” launched today.
Longtime WDHA-FM program director and midday host Terrie Carr, who lost her job there last month, has re-emerged with a podcast, “Carr Stereo,” on which she interviews musicians. The first four episodes are embedded below. They include interviews with Chris Daughtry, Jared Weeks of Saving Abel, and Chris Robertson of Black Stone Cherry, and a “New Music Discovery” episode featuring Dino Wild of Red Voodoo.
“Having a digital mouthpiece has been a very important part of what I do (and I love creating) and I have full understanding that this is the way fans consume music info and discovery,” Carr wrote on her Facebook page.
“If you miss hearing Terrie Carr on the radio every day (as I do) then you’re going to LOVE this!,” wrote Carr’s former WDHA co-worker Jim Monaghan on Facebook.
Carr’s departure from WDHA was part of what radioink.com described as “broad programming layoffs” by the station’s parent company, Beasley Media Group.
A new episode of “Carr Stereo Podcast” will be posted every Tuesday.
Here are the episodes that are currently available.
