Big Sam’s Funky Nation — led by Big Sam Williams, a singer and trombonist who is a former member of The Dirty Dozen Brass Band – will be among the performers at the 34th annual Crawfish Fest, taking place at The Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, June 4-6. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. Visit crawfishfest.com.

Eleven other artists have been announced, with more to be confirmed later. They are: Sonny Landreth, Geno Delafose & French Rockin’ Boogie, Cowboy Mouth, The Pine Leaf Boys, Jimmy Carpenter, The Campbell Brothers, Flow Tribe, Mia Borders, Zita, Jason Ricci & the Bad Kind, and Circus Mind.
The festival is devoted to Louisiana food — boiled crawfish, jambalaya, po’ boy sandwiches and more — as well as Louisiana music, and will also feature overnight camping on June 4 and 5, with late-night music for campers and VIPs only.
Louisiana native Michael Arnone began presenting annual New Jersey Crawfish Fests in 1989.
