TeachRock’s first Teachers Hall of Fame event will take place in Red Bank, Oct. 17.
Stevie Van’s Zandt’s educational TeachRock organization will hold its first Teachers Hall of Fame event at The Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, Oct. 17. The evening will benefit TeachRock, celebrate Van Zandt, feature Tom Morello, be hosted by Pete Davidson, and end with a “full performance” by Kool & the Gang.
Tickets will go on sale Sept. 11 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. Visit ticketmaster.com.
Morello will accept a Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of his mother, the late Mary Morello, who was an educator.
In honor of Van Zandt’s love for the color purple, the dress code is “Your Finest With a Modern Purple Twist.”
