Art Garfunkel will perform in Morristown in November.

Art Garfunkel, who has not done a full tour since before the pandemic, will return to the road this year with shows titled What a Wonderful World Celebration Concerts. He will be at The Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, Nov. 6, with tickets going on sale April 10 at 10 a.m. Visit mayoarts.org.

Nov. 6 is the day after his 85th birthday.

In recent years Garfunkel has struggled with vocal problems, but last year he did release an album in collaboration with his son, Art Garfunkel Jr., titled Father and Son, and performed in Israel.

“My voice is a gift from God. I needed to see if it was still there, and if I could bring peace amidst bombs falling while I was onstage,” he said in a press release. “We were safe, and it made me understand that I am meant to continue singing for people all over the world.”

Garfunkel also performed at a pre-Grammys gala, in January of this year, and on a music cruise, in February. On his setlists for the cruise were Simon & Garfunkel hits such as “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “The Boxer” and “The Sound of Silence,” as well as covers of songs like Billy Joel’s “And So It Goes” and Marc Cohn’s “The Things We’ve Handed Down,” and more.
