The Bamboozle Festival will return in 2023.

No venue is confirmed yet. But Bamboozle Festival founder John D’Esposito announced today that he is planning to resurrect the festival on May 5-7, 2023, somewhere in New Jersey.

The year will mark the 20th anniversary of the festival, which originated in Asbury Park and also has been presented at the Meadowlands, and in California and Chicago, and on several national tours. Acts that have performed at Bamboozle shows over the years have included My Chemical Romance, Muse, Linkin Park, Bruno Mars, Drake, Foo Fighters, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Fall Out Boy, Machine Gun Kelly and No Doubt.

Bamboozle has been dormant since 2012.

“When Bamboozle comes back it’s not going to look the same because the scenes change and evolve but we’re definitely going to celebrate our roots because we wouldn’t be here 20 years later if the festival wasn’t special to a lot of people,” D’Esposito told the Asbury Park Press. “We not only want to re-create that memory but we want to evolve into a new trend setter.”
