The “Barbie the Movie: In Concert” tour will come to Holmdel and Camden.
Barbie’s quest for world domination will continue with a big “Barbie the Movie: In Concert” summer tour that will include shows at The Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, July 6; and The PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, Aug. 17. Tickets will go on sale March 8 at 10 a.m., with pre-sales beginning March 5 at 10 a.m. Visit ticketmaster.com.
The movie will be shown with the music played live by the Barbie Land Sinfonietta, conducted by Macy Schmidt. It is an “all-women and majority women-of-color orchestra,” according to a press release.
Released in July 2023, the movie “Barbie” has grossed about $1.5 billion, worldwide. It will compete for eight Academy Awards — including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Ryan Gosling), Best Supporting Actress (America Ferrera) and Best Original Song (“I’m Just Ken,” “What Was I Made For?”) — in this year’s ceremony, which takes place on March 10.
