Bonnie Raitt — who released a new album, Dig in Deep, Feb. 26 — will be spending a lot of this year on the road, and currently has just one New Jersey show scheduled: Aug. 13 at NJPAC in Newark. Tickets, priced from $50.50 to $120.50, go on sale March 11 at 10 a.m.; visit NJPAC.org.

Dig in Deep contains five songs written or co-written by Raitt, as well as covers of songs such as INXS’s “Need You Tonight” (see video below) and Los Lobos’ “Shakin’ Shakin’ Shakes.” She will be joined on the tour by her longtime touring band: James “Hutch” Hutchinson (bass), Ricky Fataar (drums) and George Marinelli (guitar), along with Mike Finnigan (keyboards).

One dollar from every ticket purchased for the tour will go to organizations that focus on safe and sustainable energy, social justice and human rights, environmental protection, and music education.

Raitt will also perform at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, March 25; the Beacon Theatre in Manhattan, April 1-2; the NYCB Theatre at Westbury in Westbury, NY, Aug. 15; and the Mann Center in Philadelphia, Aug. 26. Visit bonnieraitt.com.
