Bruce Springsteen has postponed his Aug. 16 and 18 concerts in Philadelphia.

(UPDATE: These shows have been officially rescheduled for Aug. 21 and 23, 2024).

Bruce Springsteen has posted, on social media, that he is postponing his two shows this week in Philadelphia.

The message, posted shortly after 2 p.m., reads:

“Due to Bruce Springsteen having been taken ill, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed.

“We are working on rescheduling the dates so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows.”

Springsteen and the E Street Band are still scheduled to perform at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, Aug. 30 and Sept. 1 and 3. Their next scheduled shows are Aug. 24 and 26 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
